Today was our first day of vbs. We had 64 attend the camp and are expecting many more! Vbs is for kids ages 3-14 which consists of a morning exercise, breakfast, bible, craft, recreation, teaching English, and lunch. Very busy but very fun! In the afternoon, some of us went to an English class where teenagers came and we got to have conversations with them. They asked us many questions about America and in return we asked them questions about Ukraine. It was a great time to get to know more about the culture and the people living here. While that was going on, others of us were outside teaching kids and teenagers softball. Most of them have never played and were very interested in this new sport. We have built so many strong relationships with the people here just in the short time we have known them and hope to grow closer as the week progresses. Today was also a special day because it was Sara’s birthday, she turned 17! The people made her feel very special (we probably sang happy birthday three or four times, they even bought her birthday cake). All in all it was a wonderful day and we can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us here. God bless!
